I hope that you had a terrific Holiday and that your New Year is off to a great start! I thought it would be helpful to share a short recap of 2022. Here are just some of the many achievements that our management team and your Master Board accomplished in 2022 for the betterment of our community:

  1. New Akuvox access system at the gates to improve guest experience and reduce long lines. Those using it have experienced virtually no delay in allowing their visitors into The Moors. The equipment doesn’t cost us anything. We just pay a small fee per registered address for those using it. We strongly recommend that all our residents take advantage of this opportunity.
  2. 67th Avenue planters curbing repaired. We are also working to improve the landscaping next to our perimeter wall along 67th Avenue.
  3. We purchased and installed new gym equipment for the health club. If you haven’t visited our gym lately, please do. Don’t forget your Moors ID and a towel.
  4. Drains were cleaned along Mediterranean Boulevard, in time for hurricane season.
  5. Tree trimming was completed in time for hurricane season.
  6. Our popular tennis program reopened. If you’ve always wanted to learn to play tennis, now’s your chance.
  7. Salary increases approved for Moors employees and guards to retain staff.
  8. After several months studying multiple proposals from various companies, the cable and internet bulk contract was negotiated with Hotwire. Their engineers have been in The Moors several times and the plans and permits are well underway.
  9. We improved the information and added ongoing timely updates to our website.
  10. We saved a fortune in printing and postage and labels and staff time by converting to a Digital Newsletter. If you haven’t yet, please be sure to sign up at themoors.com/subscribe so you stay informed about the goings-on in our community!
  11. We began the very popular Food Truck event every month. It has become a great way to feed the family with a variety of delicious foods and desserts and a terrific way to meet many of your neighbors!
  12. We restarted our well-liked flea markets at our Club Center.
  13. If you haven’t seen all the new pavers at our Club Center area, we invite you to visit and see how much better the areas around the gym, pool, salon room and maintenance office look. We are now working on re-doing the restrooms by the salon room. Stay tuned.

We are always open to your suggestions regarding other ways to keep our community attractive and our property values up while maintaining our many popular amenities offered by The Moors.
