The Moors Club Center swimming pool remains closed
Permit #13-60-02828
The Florida Health Department closed the Club Center pool on April 25, 2023 because the pool operating permit was not renewed. They are reviewing any equipment changes made since the pool’s original construction. The pool chemical feeder system and filters were changed. This process requires all new equipment to be certified by an Engineer. ACE Aquatic Consulting Engineers was hired to evaluate the existing equipment and prepare new engineering drawings. A new application was submitted to the Health Department in September 2023. The Association also engaged the services of a permit runner to help expedite the review process.
We received the okay from the Health Department to move forward the application and paperwork to the Building Department for their review and final inspection.
Once we receive approval from the Health Department, the next step is to take the application and paperwork to the Building Department for their final review. Due to the high volume of applications pending review by the Health Department, this process is taking an extended amount of time.
In the meantime, the pool remains closed pending the review of paperwork and the application submitted to the Health Department. We received the okay from the Health Department to move forward the application and paperwork to the Building Department for their review and final inspection.
2024 Master Association projects
At the top of our list of projects are the replacement of the Club Center building roofs and renovations to the tot-lot playground. We are in the process of obtaining bids to begin these projects. Over the next two months, the Board will review the proposals received.
