As residents are already aware, during the last week in April the Miami-Dade County Health Department closed both swimming pools, at the Club Center and Village Homes, due to the operating permit not being re-issued. Last year the Health Department in a due diligence effort begun to systematically review all original paperwork on file for older pools and compare it to existing equipment to update their records, correct code violations, etc.
The Association with the help of the pool company McGrath Property Services submitted a renewal application for their swimming pool operating permit in December of 2022. Unfortunately it still came back Non-Compliant and the pool was closed.
We will make every effort possible to expedite this process. Please keep in mind that dealing with the Health Department and making construction repairs can be a lengthy process.
The Association has hired an independent company that will work with an Engineer to re-submit the application and documentation to the Health Department. We are also getting proposals for doing the necessary work. The Association will be making corrections to all the items noted on the inspection form. This includes replacement of the step making tiles.
We will make every effort possible to expedite this process. Please keep in mind that dealing with the Health Department and making construction repairs can be a lengthy process.
The Board and Management understand how essential the swimming pools are to the residents of our community, especially during the Summer months.
Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
