On May 9, 2018, the Village Homes Maintenance Association Board of Directors approved a special assessment to reimburse the Reserve funds spent for Hurricane Irma cleanup expenses and for an asphalt overlay of the roads and parking lots.
The approved special assessment will be for twelve months. Started on June 1, 2018 through May 1, 2019 at $70.59 per unit.
The Association paid for all of the cleanup expenses from Hurricane Irma borrowing Reserve funds. Even though, Miami-Dade County and FEMA helped the community by hauling some of the debris away. It was not enough. There were additional trees damaged by the storm that also had to be removed.
