An urgent message from the Board and Management
Dear The Moors Resident,
As Hurricane Milton approaches, we hope you and your family stay safe, and that your property remains undamaged. Even if the storm doesn’t make landfall in our area, many locations outside the forecast cone could still experience hurricane- or tropical-storm-force winds, rain, and storm surge. Two of the best ways to help prevent storm damage are to close your storm shutters, if you have them, and to stay tuned to and follow all local and state advisories.

In the meantime, we urge all residents to prepare for significant rainfall and potential flooding. Here are some steps you can take to ensure your safety and minimize damage.

Protect your property ahead of Hurricane Milton
- Secure outdoor items: Bring in or secure any outdoor furniture, decorations, garbage containers, or equipment that could be damaged or become hazardous in strong winds.
- Stock up on essentials: Ensure you have enough food, drinking water, and essential supplies to last several days in case of power outages or flooding.
- Check drainage systems: Clear gutters, downspouts, and drains to prevent water accumulation and potential flooding around your property.
- Stay informed: Keep an eye on local news channels, weather updates, and official notifications for the latest information and instructions.
- Have an emergency plan: Make sure all family members are aware of your emergency plan, including evacuation routes and meeting points, if needed.
